SPECIAL NOTES:
The essence of the Terratex brand is to diminish the footprint Interface Fabrics leaves on the planet. This commitment symbolizes our way of doing business.

Interface Fabrics continues to spearhead efforts to develop ever more sustainable products. These products respond to the growing need to lessen demands on and of the environment. The expanded Terratex offerings include fabrics conceived and engineered out of recycled, recyclable and compost able materials.

Our initiatives provide the blueprint to enable you to make a difference. We invite you to influence and carry the momentum for this exciting approach. To learn more and be a part of this new direction, please take advantage of the educational tools found on terratex.com.

Interface Fabrics is constantly rethinking the complex relationship between products and the environment. In fact, the bigger story actually lies behind the product. Our comprehensive approach to the intricate balance of achieving growth, increasing stakeholder value and respecting the environment is known as the sustainability equation. No matter the product, we manufacture in what we’ve dubbed the 3-R mode: reduce, re-use, restore.

The 3 R’s are more than a mantra. Interface Fabrics guarantees that Terratex classified fabrics have been produced by processes that are increasingly sustainable. In producing our high-performing Terratex products, we use less energy, reduce toxic emissions and eliminate waste.

Interface Fabrics has been instrumental in defining the dye and chemical protocol (DCP). Our company has evaluated chemicals and dyestuffs, eliminating the bad while identifying and incorporating more beneficial traits. Interface Fabrics’ proprietary system that measures all component and process variables that go in to the manufacturing of the Terratex brands.

More than a corporate concept, our environmental awareness is part and parcel of how we do business. With regard and esteem for the land and its elements, our strategies, tactics and practices embrace and nurture harmony with the environment. Sustainability is not only the right way… it is the only way.

Terratex is about more than just fabrics. Interface Fabrics presents the facts, shares its knowledge, engages its stakeholders and enlightens the community about the benefits of the earth-friendly Terratex family of products. Easy access to content that matters enables you to make informed choices.

Think - Not all bottles are created equally. You can never “throw away” a plastic bottle.

Think again - When you recycle a plastic bottle, you help create a new resource and "close the loop." With Terratex, Interface Fabrics is committed to re-purposing materials that lessen the landfill load.

Keep thinking - Diminish the footprint you leave on the environment. Nature is our best critic. Listen up and act.
Terratex fabrics meet these criteria:
       • Made from 100% recyclable or renewable material.
      • Manufacturered using increasingly sustainable processes.
      • Made to meet or exceed industry standards for quality and performance.
      • Recyclable or compost able at the end of it's useful life.

Interface Fabrics continues its dedication to sustainability with the Terratex brand. This commitment is reflected in our broad range of  environmentally responsible fabric choices.

Our expanded portfolio now includes selections that are:
      • 100% Recycled. Our first contribution to the journey to sustainability uses both post-consumer and post-industrial recycled polyester.
      • Renewable content. Taking cues from the earth itself, bio-based fibers or products, such as those comprising polylactide polymers (PLAs), are derived from natural, renewable resources, like corn, rice or beets. The small quantities required for these textile applications do not adversely affect our food supply. Presently, Interface Fabrics is nearing the final development stages for our comprehensive approach to what is a very strategic initiative for the company and the world.
      • 100% Recyclable or Biodegradable/Compostable. Because it's not enough just to look at what goes into our fabrics, we like to know that we are not leaving anything unwanted behind for future generations.
