Notes
Our Pure Silk is loom state. No banned chemicals/dye stuffs are used in any of the process at our mill, with only natural silk being used. Following are the details of the treatment and processing of Pure Silk:

Soaking with vegetable oil.

Mechanical process of spooling/twisting/reeling.

Degumming silk using Marseille soap.

Azofree* dyeing using acceptable dyestuff to ensure that no banned substances are used.

Mechanical processing of warping/weaving/inspection and rolling into final fabric rolls.

*The name azo comes from azote, an old name of nitrogen that originates in French and is derived from the Greek a (not) + zoe (to live). Because of their instability, care should be taken with the handling of azo compounds or an explosion may occur.
